Description: Theodosius I, ae 2, Roman Imperial, 379-395 A.D., Sear 4181, 21-22 mm diameter, 5.1 gms. The obverse shows the legend "D. N. THEODOSIUS P. F. AVG.", with a diademed, draped, and cuirassed bust to the right. The reverse shows the legend "GLORIA ROMANORUM", with Theodosius standing, facing, head to the right, holding a standard and a globe. The obverse shows a highly detailed portrait. The reverse detail is likewise very strong even showing hair and facial detail on the small standing figure of Theodosius. Both sides a medium to dark brown in color with a few areas showing a little dark green tone. This is a genuine original coin, not a copy, replica, or reproduction. EX.
