The wood grain and growth structure is very well preserved showing contrasting yellow gold pigmentation within the pleasing patina! The smaller petrified wood specimen has a desert sand worn, naturally smoothed ventifact exterior. The larger specimen has more of a rough exterior. These unique petrified wood specimens weigh 4 pounds 3.3 ounces. Individually, the specimens weigh and measure 1.) 3 pounds 0.1 ounce, 120mm by 96mm by 93mm 2.) 1 pound 3.2 ounces, 116mm by 76mm by 65mm. The fossil wood specimens are photographed wet excluding the final two photographs which show the items while dry. The dry photos display just how beautiful the desert patina presents the specimen!
