Description: This interesting sewing kit is beautifully made. The notched top has a pin cushion of fine corduroy in great condition. The interior holds a wood 3-spool thread holder with a spindle needle holder. The wood cover to the needle holder is well made and serves as a thimble holder. The thimble is of an everyday metal variety of the period. The finely-notched exterior is very attractive. The floral decoration has 3 small areas of loss of paint/varnish. There is one small area of wood loss in the notching on the backside of the piece shown in the photos. The kit measures 3 1/2" tall, 1 7/8" wide at the top.
