Description: Victorian Lockwood E-12500 C:1894 Cast Iron doorknob with a spiral design. Beautiful ornate pattern on both front and back. For a 125-year-old knob it is in excellent condition. These are the cast iron version. Originally may have had a brass plating or may have been Bower-Barff which chemically treated the cast iron turning it black and rust-proof which would be my guess since it's over 125 years old, cast iron, and zero evidence of any rust. Either way a real nice knob. It was under multi-layers of paint which was removed. It has been cleaned and buffed.
