The edges of the wood have been carefully contoured to hug the scene's outline. The colors are primarily brown and red, clear but not bright. This is NOT a decal, but is printed or painted on the wood's surface. The piece is balanced to stand up sturdily on the 3/4 inch bottom edge. The retailer (stamped on the back) was a shop called Prairie Peddler LTD., in Virden, Illinois. They are no longer in business.
