Description: Vintage 1920s Dress Heavily Beaded, Sheer Black Silk & Chiffon, XL, some issues ERA: True vintage item from the 1920sMEASUREMENTS: the item is 47 inches long, it is 54 inches around the under arms, best suited for up to 48 inch bust, 52 inch waist, 50 inches around hips. Shoulders are 18 inches wide and sleeves are 23 inches longMATERIAL: rayon mesh, silk chiffon, glass beadsLABEL: noneSheer beaded dress that is cut very wide. The main body is a sheer mesh with black beading. There is a sheer black chiffon panel with satin edge down each front side and a panel of beading of each side that hang open along one edge. Wide sheer chiffon sleeves with beaded strips down the tops. The dress is pullover with no openings and no lining. The neck is trimmed with a sheer woven fabric CONDITION: The dress is in good to very good condition. It looks like it was a project in the works because everything is loosely hand basted together and would need to be sewn properly to be worn securely. Several areas are coming unsewn due to the loose stitching. The beaded panels on the side are raw along one edge and would need to be stitched.The black trim around the neck is faded. There are some reddish fade spots in the satin edge of the chiffon panels. There are some loose and missing beads. The dress weighs almost 2 pounds because of all of the beading.
