Description: DESCRIPTION: Vintage 1930's 16" Ideal Composition Flirty Eye Ginger Dressed Doll Cute!Sixteen inch, almost completely original Ginger from Ideal. She is marked Shirley Temple on her back, but her head is not marked. When the popularity of Shirley Temple dolls waned in the late 1930's, Ideal used the doll body parts from the Shirley dolls with the Ginger heads. The Ginger face sculpt has a smaller mouth and a dimple in the chin instead of the cheeks.Ginger is all composition, jointed at the neck, shoulders and hips, with renewed, flirty sleep eyes, all brush lashes, painted lower lashes, brows, bright cheek blush, open mouth showing six upper teeth, felt tongue and a dimple in her chin. Her flirty eyes dart back and forth with ease, as they should. Her original brunette, human hair wig appears to be in the original set. Skin tone on head and body match. Strung tightly - she can stand and pose. Very good fingers and toes. Wearing a factory made pink plaid dress with pocketed white organdy pinafore, white cotton panties, wide brim, straw hat with pink ribbon, vintage nylon socks and center tie shoes. CONDITION:Very good condition. Composition is free of crazing, chips, lifting, or flaking paint. She has two filled cracks on the back of her head, a repair to the tips of toes on one foot and renewed eyes. Strung tightly - she can stand and pose. Very good fingers and toes - with one repair. Costume is factory made but not original to this doll. Fabric is quite crisp. Pinafore has lace trim and is over all in good condition. Dress closes with one working button in back. Vintage shoes are in fair condition with some damage to one sole. Socks are vintage and in good condition.
