That is how they did things back in 1936. :) A piece of history, almost 100 years old. The lid fits very nicely over the bowl while matching up the diamond shaped edge. Measures: 7" wide, 5" tall with lid, Candy Dish, Bowl is 2" deep. There are three chips on the edge of the lid and one area with flea bites. The bowl has a chip on outside rim. There are no chips or flea bites on the bottom where others so commonly have them. I see no scratches. This piece is simply beautiful setting empty if you choose to never put anything in it.
