The interior is firm and sturdy. Though the paper lining shows signs of deterioration that is expected for an item of its age, It would not be difficult to “reupholster” should the buyer be inclined to do so. Damge is to the paper lining only. Instead of reworking this trunk, I have left it as is, in its vintage condition so as not to lose the charm and history reflected in this piece.
