Description: ***********FOR PARTS/REPAIR - The ST 115 manual wind movement runs about 3 minutes slow by the end of its approximate 37 hour power reserve period. Neither the day nor date wheels roll over. The seconds hand and crown are replacements. At a minimum a complete overhaul is required.***********This vintage 1960's Vantage day-date has a damaged silver satin dial. The lume on the dial is mostly missing with the lume on the hands emitting a faint, short-lived glow after being exposed to bright light. The red seconds hand is a replacement. The all stainless steel case shows honest wear with minor signs of oxidation. Between the lugs at 12 o'clock is the stamping "HONG KONG." The outer edge of the case back is stamped "SHOCK RESISTANT - ALL STAINLESS STEEL - ANTIMAGNETIC" with "WATERPROOF IF SEALS REMAIN INTACT" along the inner edge and "WATERPROOF" stamped in the center. The inside of the case back is stamped "VANTAGE PRODUCTS" followed by "CASE MADE IN HONG KONG." The crystal needs to be replaced.The 17 jewels unadjusted Japan "STANDARD TIME CORP." stamped ST 115 manual wind movement runs, albeit slow, and neither the day nor date wheels roll over. After recently winding the brassed, replacement, non-screwdown crown 59 full revolutions (phenomenal for a manual wind) the movement lost about 3 minutes by the end of its approximate 37 hour power reserve period. The crown winds smoothly. At a minimum a complete overhaul is required. This watch measures approximately 33 mm excluding the crown, approximately 35.5 mm including the crown and approximately 18 mm between the lugs. Case thickness, measured from the bottom of the case back to the top of the mid-case, is approximately 6.5 mm. Including the crystal thickness measures approximately 9.5 mm. The lug to lug distance measures approximately 42 mm. At a minimum a complete overhaul is required. As such there are no warranties, express or implied, attached with the sale of this watch. Vintage means old and while my personal belief is that old school means better quality and workmanship, things can and do go wrong from time to time. For this watch that time is now.
