Description: This is a rare and colorful gift box dated 1979 from the former high end department store, Joseph Magnin (4th son of famed I. Magnin) of San Francisco. It is the size of a shirt box and measures 13.25 inches long, 10 inches wide and has a depth of 2 inches (13.25” x 10” x 2”). It features an orange background with bubbles on all sides and a beautiful harlequin on front of box in colors of pink, blue and purple. I’ve yet to see a much more bright, colorful gift box! CONDITION: The cardboard is sturdy and thick. The colors are vibrant and outside of box is clean with no color wear or stains. There is some creasing to the top cover on left side. There is also some light wear to corner edges and one side has torn a bit about 1 inch long, but does not reach seams and will stay intact if lid is removed carefully from sides rather than corners. Inside the box, there are some small brown toned / age stains on bottom. I’ve provided up close photos of these condition issues. Please be sure to view! In all, the box is in good shape and is still useable and sturdy! This is a neat work of art and worth having just for decor! It is also a historic piece of memorabilia from that fashion industry that flourished in California during the mid century. Shipped with USPS Ground Advantage. Thanks for eBaying with me.
