Description: 3 in perfect condition and one spare with a small chip on the rim as shown. Still too nice to pass so Im inclluding the chip one for free. These are signed on the base although its difficult to see but it is there :STUART England. Their Air twist glasses all hand made. THE AIR TWIST GLASS is an ancient form originating in the Georgian era - thats the late 1700s!! Some say it was created to make the glass lighter (glass was taxed by weight) as well as brighter. Whatever the reason, air twist continued until recent times where its been replaced by mass produced crystal stemware. Its so nice to appreciate old craftmanship and these are so special to have. 4 3/4" tall. 4 7/8" diameter.
