I have left the original patina (some call it tarnish), for the next owner to decide whether or not they would like the polished copper look. I polished a small portion of the copper bottom so that the identifying marks could be seen. The iconic "Paul Revere" signature appears on both sides of the kettle, and can be see in the close up pictures. This is a collectible treasure! It ships with the handle removed for safety, but it is very easy to reinstall.
