Description: Here we have a Mid Century Modern Gondola Sofa. I have seen this attributed to Adrian Pearsall as well as Carsons. But I'm now sure it is a Carson's product. This sofa is all-original and was purchased from the original owner who also had a lot of other Pearsall furniture as well. I don't know who actually designed this sofa. This sofa has been very well cared for over the years. It has the original upholstery and DOES NOT need reupholstering OR re-foamed. There are no rips, tears or stains to the upholstery. I have sat in this sofa and it is firm and VERY comfortable. It can go right into your home without any repairs. It does need, however, a thorough cleaning and I would recommend that you get it steam-cleaned as the velvety upholstery is thick and dense and old dust could be trapped in the minute fibers. This sofa has some (what looks like wax?) drippings on the white upholstery which I am sure can be cleaned away but I haven't tried. Local pick-up or I can deliver the chair East of the Mississippi River for a reasonable fee. I also have a shipper whom I have used for several years and from whom I can get a quote should you want to consider him as an option as well. P.S. I also have a matching set of chairs that goes with this sofa in the same upholstery if you are interested. These were all purchased together from the original owner.
