Description: This vintage Barber-Colman advertising is probably from the 1970s. A slide-out new-old-stock pocketknife, it has a white and blue plastic handle and a plain edge blade. The Barber-Colman oval globe logo and "Barber-Colman Company 1300 Rock Street, Rockford, Illinois, USA, 61101" is embossed in bright blue lettering on the front. (1300 Rock Street was the address of the company's first plant). When closed, it is about 3-1/4 inches long and 3/4 inches wide at its widest point. When the blue handle on the back is used to open the blade, it is about 5-1/4 inches long. A knife in the original paper wrapper as well as one with the blade out are illustrated. The piece in this listing is "new old stock" and still in the original clear paper wrapping as shown in the photos. This is an interesting item for collectors of knives, advertising , or Barber-Colman or Rockford area memorabilia. Please note that there are multiples available. Ships USPS.
