Vintage Buck #102 Woodsman Hunting Knife, 2-Line Inverted Stamp

Description: ***LOOK! NEW LOWER PRICE!*** Offered for sale is an Buck 102 "Woodsman" fixed-blade hunting knife, circa 1968-1973. This knife features a stainless steel clip point blade, an aluminum hilt and pommel, and a black composite handle. The blade is 3-1/2" long and 3/32" thick at the hilt. Overall length is 7-1/2". The blade has the inverted tang stamp of "Buck U.S.A." Prior to 1968, Buck knives were stamped "Buck." In 1968, Buck added "USA" to the tang stamp. By 1973, the model number was added, and by 1986, date code symbols were added to the tang stampings. The knife is in good condition overall, showing signs of normal use and carry. The blade appears to be about 90% intact, and the blade tip is broken off. There are some scratches in the handle and on the hilt and pommel. There is no sheath with this knife, however I have seen several nice custom aftermarket sheaths for sale on ebay. I have left this knife exactly as I found it, so if you plan to use or carry this knife, you will need to have it sharpened. I recommend having this done professionally if you do not know how to do it correctly. This knife is very well made, and will provide many years of service with proper care.
