Description: These horses were hand carved in China, and I believe they are supposed to represent the immortal horses of Mu Wang (it is not a complete set). Each one is carved from a single piece of wood, with inset glass eyes and a reddish brown stain. There are six different poses, plus one double of a horse looking back. Six of them are 4-5” tall, and the galloping horse is shorter, but 5” long. Four of the horses have cracks, which look like the result of the wood drying out and not from damage. One horse has a missing ear, showing the unstained wood underneath. The galloping horse also looks like the ear broke off, but it happened before being stained, so it’s not as obvious. Several horses also have tiny chips or dings to the mane.
