Description: This is a collection of 42 of the detective Jules Maigret novels written by author Georges Simenon between the 1930s and the 1970s. Inside the front cover of a lot of the books is the name of the woman that collected them, Jane Nixon, as well as the year she purchased. Miss Nixon collected them from the 80s and 90s it would appear, and included the location she collected them at in a few. A few of them are coming apart from their spines, as shown in the pictures. Only 2-3 I found like this. The rest are in very good condition, no cracked spines or dog-eared pages. A handful also have bookstore stickers still on the front. This is not a pristine, brand new collection, but seems like they were well loved. The titles in the collection include: The Man On The BenchGoes to SchoolThe LonerThe SpinsterThe BumAfraidIn VichyRivalRevolverMistakeThe MillionairesThe Headless CorpseThe Black SheepThe Nahour CaseAt The Coroner'sThe Toy VillageLoses His TemperThe ApparitionHas DoubtsIn CourtThe Hotel MajesticIn ExileThe FortunetellerAfraid (repeat, different publication)The PickpocketThe Wine MerchantHesitates The Saturday CallerAt The Coroner's (repeat, different publication)The Reluctant WitnessIn MontmartreMadame Maigret's Own CaseBoyhood FriendMeets a MilordStorewalledThe InformerThe MadwomanSets A TrapThe Calame ReportVersusNone Of Maigret's BusinessBides His Time
