Description: Vintage Erphila rabbit teapot The rabbit teapot was made by a West Germany company in the 1940s to 1950s. The handle is the rabbit's tail and the front paws come together to form the spout. The rabbit is glossy brown, beige, and black. The brown portions are not a single solid color but have a spotted appearance. The teapot is stamped "Germany" on the bottom. It is imprinted 6701B. It is 7-1/2" tall, 4" wide, and 8" deep (from front of spout to back of handle). The teapot is in pre-owned condition consistent with age. The colors are still bright. There is some crazing which is most noticeable on the front of the rabbit under the spout. There is a chip on the spout that someone has filled in with black pen marks. Both ears have a small rough spot along one edge. The lower ear has a couple of spots of light coloring (glazed, not rough) along that edge as well. There are a couple of flea bites on the outer edge of the lid's opening, one on the rabbit's side, and one on the upper ear. There are also some minor manufacturing flaws such as some small dot indentations on the rabbit's side and a small spot of extra ceramic at the bottom of one of the eyes. Please see photos.
