Description: Evans Powder Compact - Vintage Deco Aluminum Mesh Enameled - Never Used! This is a lovely vintage compact in pristine condition. Never used! The interior is clean and bright. We aren't sure, but the inner lining may be a coated fabric. When pushed inward from outside the mesh, one area shows "cracking," but that virtually disappears when the lining is pushed outward again. We attempted to illustrate that in the final 3 photos. On the lining's interior rim are areas of green paint--perhaps factory cut-out markings ??? The woven fabric powder cover is present. It's still stiff with only a few pinpoint discoloration spots, but overall clean. Some discoloration/fogging can be seen around the edges of the mirror, and the mirror has a few pinpoint surface scratches. All of the exterior aluminum mesh segments are present and intact and show NO discoloration. The eggshell-color enamel on the lid shows only faint surface scratches; the embossed floral pattern on the lid and silver color outer and inside lid rims show NO signs of age, damage or deterioration. There is some age-yellowing to the powder puff and a discoloration spot on the Evans-branded ribbon near the side seam, but it is unused. The compact measures 2 1/2" diameter.
