Pressed glass beads like these were made during the early 19th century in specialized bead making workshops of Europe. This unique reddish pink tone was especially coveted in West Africa where natural coral is valued in traditional tribal cultures. Each strand measures approximately 30" long with individual beads 11-12mm wide and 12-15mm in diameter. Some beads may show discoloration or imperfections due age.
