Vintage Large Red Coral 14kt White Gold Filigree Ring

Description: This is a rich, deep orangish red cabochon coral measuring 14.51 X 10.64 millimeters, that sits within an ornate filigree mounting in this ring. The Coral is approximately 6.75 carats and is claw set in a beautiful filigree mounting, rendered in 14kt white gold from the 1950’s. The inside shank of the ring is stamped " 14K" and the ring tests as such. The ring weighs 2.2 dwt and is a finger size of 7 that can easily be sized. This makes a fabulous Statement ring.This superb original mid century natural untreated red coral ring is in lovely condition. It is ready to gift or to wear. Please note viewed from the bottom of the ring there are natural inclusions from the growth of the coral on the base of the cabochon and a small black spot on the top - these inclusions are intrinsic to this natural organic gemstone. The color of the coral from the top of the cabochon is an intense orangish red. This is an extraordinarily rare color for this gemstone especially in the size and with this consistency of color across the face of the cabochon.
