Description: This is an original Suzy Goose Bed that has been restored and has a new spread and pillow. The original bed frame is good, there is one peg broken off and is included. It is loosely put together so that it can be dismantled for shipping. Once it is snapped into place, it could easily break when trying to disassemble. We had to glue some of the tabs back on. The slide out drawer is intact and functional. It has areas that are not as white as when new. We replaced the original rubber bands. The cardboard mattress is original and has had the darkening on one side when I got it. The instructions were copied from the original one. We cleaned the head and foot boards and used self-stick felt to simulate the original flocking that was used. They are not perfect but it is actually quite displayable now. A new red velvet bedspread was made, with a matching long pillow. Bedspread is trimmed with gold and white ribbon that is as close as I could come to original. Sewing is not perfect, I'm not a seamstress but very displayable. This would be amazing in a vintage collection next to the Suzy Goose Queen size wardrobe. Please enlarge the photos to see the details. This bed is extremely rare and now in restored condition, almost impossible to find. This is very delicate and will ship well packed with extra packing and a large enough box. No return on this item as it is too delicate.
