On offer is an authentic, vintage hand wrought Southwest Native American Navajo sterling silver pendant necklace adorned with a natural hand cut and polished White Buffalo or Howlite stone on a sterling silver snake chain. The pendant is hallmarked with the initial E, most likely for either Kenneth Etsitty or Randall Endito and STERLING. We believe this classic Navajo necklace was created circa 1980. This striking Southwest Navajo pendant necklace was crafted with attention to detail and is in very good vintage condition (see all photos for an accurate detailed depiction). The snake chain has a lobster clasp that is in good working order and is marked .925, ITALY. The hand cut and polished White Buffalo or Howlite cabochon stone is in very good condition with no chips or cracks and is firmly and securely set in a plain silver bezel. The stone measures approx 1" long x 7/8" wide. Overall, the snake chain measures approx. 17" long x 1/16+" thick. The plaque is approx. 1 5/16" long x 1 1/4 wide; the large bail measures approx. 5/8" long x 7/16" wide and has an opening of 1/4". This piece weighs 19.6 grams - .630 ounce. This traditional sterling silver and natural White Buffalo or Howlite pendant necklace would make a fine addition to any Twentieth Century Southwest Navajo Silver and Stone jewel, White Buffalo or Howlite, or Historic American Cultural Arts and Crafts collection.
