Add the extra complication of needing a larger or smaller size and options get scarce.Most of the straps we’ll be offering will be either “longs” or “shorts;” that is to say, specially made straps that are either longer or shorter than what we in the guild consider a “regular” length.Please bear this in mind: The opinion of what constitutes “regular” does change, as do delineations and terms. Factory markings aren’t always as accurate as we’d like them to be. So, we will be double-checking every single strap we offer, describing them as we see them; measuring them ourselves so you get the benefit of our eyes when you buy them.Also, please know the condition of vintage straps can differ vastly from one leather to another; one manufacturer to another, or one region to another. Some straps have held up rather well over their hundred years or so; others, not so much. Our straps are pleasantly supple and, if worn respectfully, should hold up well for the occasional outing, film production or museum trunk-show. And yes, we do provide (male) pins if you wish. This vintage N.O.S. example is a 16mm “short” in a chocolate genuine English pigskin; circa ‘30s or so. It features a handsome tight stitching in a contrasting white and period keep and gold-filled buckle.
