Vintage Ruby & Sapphire Articulated Sterling Silver 925 Dancing Clown Pendant

Description: Vintage Ruby & Sapphire Articulated Sterling Silver 925 Dancing Clown Pendant This is a blast from my own personal past! This was a gift from a boyfriend back in the late 80s. He “dances“ - meaning his arms, legs, and head move when you shake it. I have not been holding onto it for sentimental value, I just found it in an old jewelry box. I did not think it was marked, but upon very close scrutiny, it is signed 925 on the back of his “shirt“. In the solid silver area. It is very faintly stamped. I do not see any makers mark, but it could be too faint for me to see, or hidden because there are a lot of details in this piece. I do not see any missing stones. There is one stone on his right thigh that appears to be a bit lifted, unless it’s just darker than the others. Looked very carefully, but please forgive me if I am missing any. The tips of his clown shoe toes do not have any stones, they are a hollow area. They never did. There are blue stones and red stones, along with larger clear stones. The clear stones make up the front buttons, as well as his very large, oversized collar, and a large portion of his “hat“. What are these clear stones??? Is this a clear sapphire? Another gem? If they are diamonds, please do not tell me!!! I don’t think so, we were quite young back then and I don’t think he could’ve afforded that. Ruby eyes. All materials untested There is discoloration, and it is dull - if you want to shine, it will need a very good cleaning. I do not see any missing stones. There are overall scratches which are noticeable on the back side. This is the side that would be against your chest anyway. If you look at it from the side, the head area, which acts as the bale, has a crooked indentation. On the back, you cannot see it from the front. I’m sure it can be Pulled out a bit/straightened. Just add a chain to this, and it will be an awesome piece! There is plenty of room for all different thicknesses, too. Please see close-ups. This is very vintage, was worn often back in the day, but has not seen the light of day since likely 1989. Comes to you as found. Will need a little TLC, but it really is beautiful. I know they still make these, but this one is absolutely loaded… especially with those huge clear stones & chest full of gems! They don’t make them like this anymore. As is.
