Description: Vintage Western Electric 1930's Rotary Dial D1 Desk Telephone E1 Handset This vintage Western Electric desk telephone is a rare find from the 1930s. This phone has been beautifully restored and is in perfect working condition. I believe these are the original cloth cords that have been adapted to use a modular type of plug. It has been tested just prior to being listed. Sound quality is excellent both ways and it does ring, but the ringer sounds more like a buzzer that a bell. The phone was manufactured in the United States and is a great piece of history. Makes a unique display piece. There are no blemishes to speak of. Depending on the type of wiring you have in your home, this may not work or may work with limitations.Rotary phones all have pulse dialing which may not work with fiber optics or other modern wiring.
