Vintage William M. Jewell Watercolor: houses and trees

NOTE: i will always combine items to save you shipping cost. THIS ITEM IS----one of many original Watercolor paintings and other art work by Jewell that i have up right now. William MacIntyre Jewell graduated Harvard in 1925 and then attended Harvard Architectural School. He designed and constructed houses in New England, but with his skill in drafting, Jewell simultaneously pursued his passion for painting. In 1950 Jewell became a professor at Boston University School of Liberal Arts, and from 1956-1970 he served as a professor and Chairman of the Department of Fine Arts at BU. Jewell was awarded four gold medals in Boston annual exhibitions of art, and his works are on display at the Fogg Museum, Harvard; the De Cordova Museum and the Farnsworth Museum. He was elected as an Artist Fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences in 1960. He passed away in 1990. This specific piece is stampled on the back, "estate of William M.
