Description: Tilt/swing standing tabletop vintage wooden picture frame with glass. Silver painted finish to hanging frame which is supported by turned posts. Has NRA stamp on back, so dates to ca. 1933-1935. The National Recovery Administration (NRA) was a New Deal agency established by U.S. president Franklin D. Roosevelt (FDR) in 1933. The goal was to eliminate "cut-throat competition" by bringing industry, labor and government together to create codes of "fair practices" and set prices. In 1935, the U.S. Supreme Court unanimously declared that the NRA law was unconstitutional, ruling that it infringed on the separation of powers under the United States Constitution. Frame is sturdy and in very good used condition. It shows minimal wear. Photo insert size is 6” x 8”.
