Description: For your consideration:A genuine amber necklace with wood bead & 925 sterling silver clasp! Measures 19" including sterling & satin glass decorative box closure. Amber disks are matte finish and measure in the range of 15-16mm wide; they are not all exactly the same size or thickness. I'm not sure if they are from the Baltic region, but they are the warm yellowish-honey color found there; not as dark as some cognac ambers but not as bright as pure yellow. The wooden ball is 33.3 mm around. Clasp is stamped, "SJ.925," and both clasp and tongue were acid test as sterling by me. It is tight and secure! It is an older piece that was restrung about 20 years ago. Entire piece weighs 105g; the wooden bead weighs about 30g, so I'd say the net amber weight is about 75g. Items are from my personal collection, a smoke-free & kitty-friendly home.
