Description: For sale is an original WW2 M1 helmet in as found condition straight from an attic. Shell is a front seam swivel bale, I can't read the full lot number but it appears to end in "4E". Has original OD canvas chinstraps. Liner is made by Westinghouse with unpainted washers. Both shell and liner have original paint. Sweatband and internal liner shows light usage. Note I am including the original OD hardware leather chinstrap that was attached to the liner. However, the leather was flaking/cracking and very fragile, so it's been separated to prevent further damage during shipping. I wouldn't use it in display as it looks like it will fall apart.
