This piece may have come from a local railroad museum. Additional photos upon request.This is an original 1940s (1940-1945) railroad vest. This is not a reproduction. It has a four snap closure made with United Carr snaps. This vest is made from Mackinaw wool. The hem edging around the entire vest is a bounded seam. The front of the vest features four pockets, two larger pockets above two smaller, snap closed lower pockets. There is a strap on the lower back to cinch in the garment. These vests were designed to protect railroad workers from cold weather and hazards of their jobs.Measurements: Laying Flat (See Pictures for Measurements.
