Description: WW2 era Colombian Gala/Waffenrock uniform belonging to a Teniente Coronel of the infantry. This uniform is a copy of the Chilean infantry model and was first introduced in 1907 when the Colombian army was being reorganized by a Chilean army mission which is how Prussian influence was adopted in Colombia. This particular uniform dates somewhere between 1930-1949 based on buttons construction and because the condor’s head is facing left as where post 1949 buttons are facing right. The shoulder knots which was worn when uniform was used for formal non military related occasions can easily slip off and be interchanged with 17th century style epaulettes which was worn with pickelhauble and brocade belt during parades or official army ceremonies. Overall condition of the uniform is very good! And includes trousers as well. Pickehauble is in good condition except that one of the screws that holds the crest plate is broken (see last photo) so is lose but is something that can be easily repaired.
