Description: WWI M1889 Prussian German Infantry Officers Sword with Scabbard. Ricasso is unmarked, no marks anywhere. The grip, guard, and pommel are tight. Folding clam functions correctly. The grip is complete. The triple strands of twisted wires are mostly complete, one is broken, and they are not lined up correctly. The double fullered blade appears lightly sharpened, no nicks, light age spots scattered throughout, the last 7" has pitting, and there is a slight bend about a 1/2" up from the tip. The scabbard is solid with a couple minor some dents/dings, and has scratches with paint loss scattered throughout. Washer is intact. Length of the blade measures 30 1/2" (3/4" wide x 3/16" thick spine), length of the sword is 36 1/8", and in the scabbard it is 37 1/8". Check out my other War items!
