Description: Y E S TWO LPs CLOSE TO THE EDGE 1972 Gatefold LP Atlantic Records SD 7244 COVER = VG+; VINYL = VG+ TORMATO 1978 LP Atlantic Records SD 19202 COVER = EXCELLENT; VINYL = EXCELLENT At one time considered the best (Close To The Edge) and worst (Tormato) YES albums, Close To The Edge stands the test of time, and Tormato isn't as bad as you might think it is after all these years and the YES albums that followed it. The album title and cover by Hipgnosis (one of their ugliest) did not help. (They should have stuck with Roger Dean and even just calling it "The Ninth" would have been better.) The music isn't all that bad though Close To The Edge is a 1972 Presswell First Pressing with the textured cover. Tormato is also a Presswell First Pressing. They both come with the original graphic inner-sleeves with song lyrics. Close To The Edge played a bit crackly at the beginning and end but fine during the music. Obviously Tormato played better as it was played less.
