It has no impact on the smooth operation of this reel. There is a receipt that was in the box that is dated May 17, 1956. This is a unique find. This original Zebco spinning reel from the 1950s contains original box,instructions, and the actual receipt from when it was purchased. It contains no fishing line in it and it’s really hard to tell if it was actually used. There are signs of wear from over the years so I will label this as a used one although I personally think it is new or barely used. It’s been like it just came out of the factory..
